(no subject)
Hello kids, I'm sitting in my computer class. I just got a silver dollar from my business teacher for saying penis in class during his marketing lecture. He's said that's never happened before. So that was pretty awesome.
I've just been going to school and being mom. I think I'm going to start at the art institute in july. I'm scared. I signed up for spring term at PCC. I'm taking five classes to see if I can handle it. Two of them are exercise, so hopefully that'll help me focus and get my energy level up. Besides those, history (i am a history nerd.. ) finance, and drawing.
On a shitty note, they raised our rent by a significant amount for the third year in a row, and when I went to do laundry (my weekly six-eight loads depending on who peed the bed that week) I realized they'd jacked the price up 50 cents per load. Thats $155/month more than we were paying two and a half years ago. Needless to say, we're house hunting. We have no savings yet to put toward a down payment, but taxes are big this year, plus I can live w/o most of my FA check, so we're gonna try and get that savings match account set up through Portland Housing Center. I just don't know if we should use some of that $ to get into a cheaper place until we're ready to buy, or if we should just put it ALL away and stick it out here for the next 6-12 months (my time goal for buying a house, I'm having a hard time for Lukas to commit to a plan or neighborhood.)
Well class is starting, and I need an A, so love to all, and I'll try to keep a better journal!
