My mother appeared at my door today with a huge shopping bag, stuffed to the brim with swiss chard from her garden. That, combined with the fact that ground beef was on tremendous sale today helped me decide what we're having for shabbos.
Homemade herbed challah
Fish souffle (my made up recipe with tuna, eggs, flour, and onion.)
Beet salad
Chilbeh
Matbucha
Homemade chummus (undecided)
Possibly sourkraut, if its ready yet
Mushroom stuffed meatloaf
Rice
Swiss chard pie
Roasted fennel salad with orange dressing
Desert- to be determined, perhaps none at all.
Drinks- homemade borsht drink and homemade lemonade
