been busy the last few days.
I got my yarn in the mail.... and I am wanting to make something with the Divine, but I don't know what. I already have a great shawl, and I don't think I want another one. In fact - I have a second one that is velvet & brushed cotton tartan. It is beautiful.
So a third one is not what I need. I also don't need a hat or scarf. I really want to make a sweater out of it. Maybe I will try. I have two patterns in mind.
In other arenas - I found out that my aunts that I will be seeing this weekend bought me gifts, so I am making scarves for them. I finished the first one, and I am working on the second. So all other projects have been put away.
I will get back to them later.
I need to do some pre work on the stocking hat for skalagrim. I need to work up a few swatches to test the gauge. and do it with different hooks. Then I need to wash it, which will test the felting, and see if it shrinks any. Then I will have the beginning info I need to start the hat. I also need to look up a pattern. I think I will do better with one instead of free handing it.
Wondering if I will ever hear from christine9600 about measuring her for her halter top. If I don't hear from her soon, I will start to make other plans for that beautiful yarn. I could easily make myself a halter top. I saw some great patterns online. The one I want to make for C is great - but the pattern looks like her & not me. I want something different for myself.
The Patons Grace seems similar to Lion Brand Micro-Spun. All soft & silky. Heck... who knows. redbaron6198 might snatch that yarn for his project. But I want to make him a vest, and that is not a good yarn for that. It is a great yarn for a scarf though.
Off to search the web for ideas on patterns.
