(no subject)
Today was a really good day.
Woke up early and went to Buckner's with mom. Helped out with the photo books of the orphans of long ago.
Got to see some old pics of my mother and my Aunt Joann when they were really young. Was surprised that there were no pics of my uncle Jerry. Can't wait to meet more people at the home coming on the 2cnd and 3rd.
I noticed when I was putting together one of the books that they had a section of the obituaries and remembered that I had a pic of me and my aunt in my car. In the back of the picture I have her obituary so I lent it to them to scan and put in their book.
I am kinda happy that I left that box of stuff in the car. It came in useful.
I also noticed that tomorrow is her anniversary of when she passed. It just doesn't seem that it was that long ago.
After leaving Buckner's, we had dinner at Cafe Brazil. Mom has never been there and she loved it.
I had a cup of chicken Tortilla soup. Yummy, I think I am going to learn how to make that and add it to my recipe book.
Got a wonderful cup of Cinnamon Gingerbread coffee.. Very nice!
After driving around in Dallas, We hit the store and mom got me some happy coffee. Yeah happy coffee!
I wanted to see if I could find out when Deep Wood was going to open, so we headed for the shop.
Low and behold, there is Mindy in the store, I looked at mom and asked her if I should pop in and say hello.
Mom said yes, but she might not recognize you! She was right.. lol.. Mindy had a big smile on her face when she saw me, but was not sure who I was, Then I said Kitty and she gave me a great big hug and said that I was so skinny lol..
I got to tour the shop and smell the new soaps that she had just bought. I am going to have to try them. They smelt great.
She is going to be opening the store sometime this week. I wish that I could help her out with the store, but I got to get my stuff ready for Hegal. I am supposed to be leaving on Thursday afternoon, but if it keeps raining, I wonder if I will be able to get there?
I am a little worried about the dirt road being unstable for driving on. Oh well, guess I will know by Wednesday or not.
Now I am home, playing on Facebook and updating this thing.. So much to do..
As if I thought that this month was busy, there is also next month.
