It's another Manic Monday . . yeah that's all I got
My weekend was pretty good I guess . . I have been stressed a little just seeing if I got my second job or not (still waiting to hear back cause they haven't made a decision yet) and just house-hunting and what not and also church too
Let's see how that weekend went . . .
FRIDAY: I worked ALL day from open to close in the post-office . . from 8 -5 . . then that night . . me and the mac just kinda hungout round the apartment . . we also went to the Outside World and I got some fabulous hiking or outdoors-y flip-flops . . they are so awesome!!
SATURDAY: I woke up early and went to E-rin's house and then we went to watch her brother . . Caleb . . play some baseball . . I felt like his older sister too ha ha . . cause E-rin and I were cheering him on and I was kinda getting carried away cause the team they were playing were oh so rude . . and so I made sure to yell loud for him . . ohh and their team was the Bulldogs and they were playing the Cubs . . well the pitcher for the Cubs struck this kid out and that inning was over . . well he brushed off his shoulder . . much like the song . . well he got thrown out of the game . . and then he got in his truck . . blared the "dust your shoulder" song and slung rocks everywhere . . and his dad was the coach for his team . . so I yelled "way to raise your kid" . . but not too loud . . just enough to make E-rin laugh! . . The game just got worse from there . . the catcher got hit in his . . well "cup" and he fell over in PAIN . . he sat on the sidelines for the rest of the game with ice in his pants . . sucks to be him . . well Caleb and his team won . . YAY . . they deserved it too . . he came over and thanked me for cheering for him ha ha . . and I love E-rin's family so much . . her mom used to think my name was Natalie . . so she calls me Natalie just to be funny . . and I answer cause I remember at the rock Mr. Forrest called me Heather or Julie or 2 years straight . . and I didn't have the heart to tell him he was wrong ya know
. . when I went back . . Whit from my hall (A-100 . . what what) was there moving in and after a while she left with her folks and Allison came up cause she was feeling awful and she was stuck at work and 2 hours from home . . then me & Ginny went to the Mall of Georgia . . we went to REI . . (not as impressive as Galyan's to me . . sorry ha ha) and then to Galyan's . . yeah there is no place that has cool band stickers for my car . . my GC sticker is coming off and I need some new stickers . . yes ma'am . .
that night we just kinda chilled and watched TV and stuff
SUNDAY: Well I woke up and went to church @ Mountain Lake . . and the message was A-MAZING (as always) . . and the praise & worship was great too!! The message was about being connected in your community and that God intended us to have a relationship with him but also to be connected to your neighbors and friends . . and so I have really been thinking bout Crosspoint & Mountain Lake and college and a church and right now I think that Mountain Lake is "feeding me" ya know what I mean . . it's not that they are giving me a sandwich and I'm fed . . it's like the Smith House . . an abundance of FABULOUS foods that feed me in tons of ways and once you get Smith House . . not much else can suffice . . if y'all don't understand that I'm just sayin that Mountain Lake is fabulous . . I signed up to do a connection group with the college age crowd and to either possibly work with 1st - 5th grade kids or middle-school and I get to sit in on their stuff next sunday!! Ohh . . I'm forgetting something . . when I went to sign-up for workin with kids this lady was there and she was telling me that her and husband moved to this area and they were in Dawson Co. (where mom & I wanna move) and she told me about a road we hadn't looked at yet . . and I went after to church to look at it and it looks pretty good . . so I think that was a total God-send right there
ok sorry this is getting long . . but that night I went to NewComer's coffee to learn more bout the church and I got to talk to the pastor Shawn and he was GREAT . . and so were all the other folks I met . . so things are goin good
I can't wait til I see some folks I haven't seen in a while like Colin & KG . . who are possibly coming to D-town soon (well Colin is in like 2 weeks) . . well be praying for what God had for me and Mountain Lake . . I'm excited!
I love my littles (Fro & Mac rock!!) & I love my FBB (E-rin . . soon to be BB) : )
