Grraawwwwrrrggg!

I just had my first run in ever with a mom bully. I am shocked and appalled by this woman's audacity. It happened like this;

First let me set the scene. Gryphon goes to a private catholic pre-school three mornings a week, not because of any particular loyalty to that faith, but because it happens to be the best pre-school/grade school in Springfield. School is out and weather permitting, Gryphon always plays on the jungle gym with his buddies Giles and Nora for about ten minutes or so before we leave. I am sitting on the steps chatting with Gile's mother Amy and watching the little Sithe Lord school his minions on the dangers of a goblin attack and how to survive such things. Amy and I are constantly having to stifle giggles while we discuss our respective careers, when I get the stare tingle. Naturally I turn to see who has tripped this sensor and sure enough there is a woman standing on the top step attemping to bore a hole in the back of my skull with her eyes. Although she looks the exact opposite of friendly, I smile at her and then turn back to Amy. We continue our conversation, but it is slightly strained now because we can both feel this "other" glaring at us. Finally I turn around agian and ask her politely if we are blocking her way down the steps(we are not, there is like 7 feet on the other side of us). She says no. I am about to turn away again when she says to me,
"What is your son doing?"
I look over at my love and his friends who are waving their arms about in front of them and shouting things like "get back you!" and "take that!" and in a slightly modified voice "no, no, Grrraaaaawwwkk!"
I blink at her because I am at a lose as to how she can even ask such a bone headed question. I mean its perfectly obvious that they are fighting off a horde of murderous goblins.
"He's fighting goblins.", I say.
"You let him?"
At this point I am beginning to get a little snarky, I mean WTF? So I respond totally serious...
"Well, I am a grown up and can't see them otherwise I would fight them myself."
Amy is suddenly stricken by a coughing fit, poor thing.
"Violence in our schools isn't something to joke about" says the "other".
I am done with her now. She is crazy and not in a fun I see pretty colors kinda way. Therefore there is no place for her in my world. She ceases to exist to me.
After a little while she catches on and stomps down the steps and shouts for her daughter, Eva, to hurry up they are leaving.
And that would have been the end of it, except that on her way out she passes the jungle gym and she has the nerve to say to my son(ya, she singled him out),
"You should be ashamed of yourself"
Gryphon blinks at her and looks over at me. I smile at him and he takes this to mean that all is well and the battle resumes.
Without taking my eyes off of the bitch who has inexplicably popped back into existence, I ask Amy if she will keep an eye on Gryphon? She nods. I wait until the "other" has passed the playground gates and then I get up and sprint over to her. I smile and say hi to Eva and let her know that I need to speak to her mom for a minute. Then I look up at Vicki(thats its name)and tell her to put her daughter in the car. The color actually drains out of her face as I watch and the satisfaction is nearly absolute, but then this complete coward grabs her child by the shoulders and holds her in front of herself like a tiny ineffectual shield. I am ultimately appalled but since Eva is now looking up at me with this shocked and confused look on her little face I fight to keep the disgust off of mine. I force a smile and tell Vicki that we WILL talk later and then I turn my back and walk away.

It has been over 36 hours and I am still SOOOOOO PISSED!

this is the mama,
over and out
