Day 1 - Pride. Seven great things about yourself.
Day 2 - Envy. Seven things you lack and covet.
Day 3 - Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
1. Red-light runners (endemic in KC, but not so bad here in Chicago).
2. The dozens of empty parking spaces all over Chicago that sit for hours with an old broken kitchen chair blocking it, preventing anyone else from using the space. (For those who don't live here: this practice is called "dibs" and it's tolerated because apparently spending some time with a snowblower or shovel means that space is yours for eternity.)
3. Dealing with our labyrinthian health insurance.
4. People who lie to me.
5. People who steal from me.
6. The fact that money interests trump common-sense things like civil rights, our environment and health care (ie, the anti-gay marriage movement, big pharma vs. medical marijuana, oil vs. electric cars, and AMA vs. midwifery)
7. In general, people who display a sense of entitlement instead of cooperation and compassion, leaving a mess behind them and not caring who has to deal with it.
Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
Day 5 - Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
Day 6 - Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
Day 7 - Lust. Seven love secrets.
OK, today's list felt more cathartic than yesterday's, so I'll keep it up.
