FFR - CODE FOR "Forced Family Recreation"
In my opinion there are two types of this recreation. One can be disguised under the alias of "MYSTERY TRIP" in which case my dad plans these awful trips to places such as Queechie Gorge in VT during a monsoon or perhaps a car ride to see the Old Man of the Mountain for the 100th time.
The other type of Forced Family Recreation can be referred to as "Your cousins are here from Ireland and you have to spend time with them"....Right. Anyways, this weekend was not so bad hangin out with the fam although I was around them A LOT. They suprisingly did not annoy me as much as usual.
Sat morning mom, aunt maryellen, nana, jules , matty and I went to a flea market in Revere. It was soooooooo hot out. Later we met up with AJ, Brian, and the Irish lads and spent the day in Boston. We went to Daddy's Junky Music so Kevin and Sean could play guitar and browse and whatnot. Then we went bowling at this really cool place called Kings. It was like kinda glow in the dark and stuff. Pretty fun for the most part. After losing miserably to the boys team we all went to Coldstone. Ice Cream for dinner is great.
Yesterday was the golf tourney. For the past 3 years we have been running this tournament to raise money for a scholarship in honor of my uncle at his old High School. The guys go play golf and the girls sell raffle tickets cuz we're not really interested in playing i guess. Then afterwards we have a huge party at the Irish American Hall . Open bar too woohoo! All in all it was a great day despite having to wake up at 6 am. Leave it to my fam to not let a gathering go by where there is no drama. While we were leaving Aunt MaryEllen caught Sean drinking....hes 14...he was the only one to get caught, Ever. I feel bad cuz my aunt is like a nazi. She was screaming at him for like an hour. Then she said she was gonna send him on a plane back to Ireland and he would never come back to the US again...right.

Anywho...Goin to the Cottage for the week. Of course I have to work this weekend but Ill be back up there for Dads bday.
