(no subject)
I just have to post that I am sick of hearing people boohooing about no longer making 80k -100k salaries. WHA! I'm only making 20-30k! So what that I'm single with no kids!
Really. Seriously. Get over it. I've lived on less than 20k. I didn't do a lot, didn't eat out much didn't go shopping a ton, but it certainly can be done. I've known people who supported families who didn't live horribly deprived lives on 30k. Of course they didn't spend like maniacs and whip out credit cards like they were real money or something either.
Suck it up. Cut back on non-essentials. Move to a cheaper appartment. Stop eating out. 80k jobs are a privilege. There's a butt load of totally unemployed folks who'd love to have your 20-30k job. At least you still have a place to live and money to buy food. You don't have to sleep in your car and get your family's meals from the local food bank/soup kitchen.
I know it sounds cold, but really. Stop whining and just DO it. Even if you have to completely swallow your pride and work as a janitor throwing kitty litter on the vomit of 6 yr olds between cleaning the public toilet and mopping up the spill on the second floor. It's a job. Honest work that will pay for your food. Shut up and just do it or continue your whining while someone else who is willing to get dirty takes that job too.
