I'm so bad at the holidays!!!!
Ok, so Christmas is a mere 2 weeks away... and guess what... I've only bought 5 of the gifts I need to get!!!!! I still have AT LEAST another 10-15 people to buy for!!!! And so far... I only have ideas for 2 of them! Luckily I think Kristin will be able to help me w/ ideas for Marc, and the L's. Plus I need about a million cards because Besta's house on Christmas Eve will have at least 20 people... AHHHAHAHAHAH. Maybe I should have a list! I don't know. Luckily I get paid the day before christmas eve!! Don't think I won't do all of my shopping that day! Especially since I've already gone through most of Thursday's paycheck! Maybe I can pow wow w/ Kristin and we can go shopping next week... OOOH girls day out! Hells yeah! What an idea!
Anywho... enough about shopping for holiday gifts. The rest of my holiday is gonna be HOT! Tomorrow I get to see dad, fran, MY COUSIN SCOTTY(I love him, he's so fucking cool) and David & Debbie(my dad's hippie cousins... they fucking ROCK). HAPPY CHANUKAH! David and Debbie have an entire wall in their house filled w/ CD's and tapes. I'm hoping I can borrow some to download to my IPod. They have EVERYTHING! From oldies to current... all different genres. GOOD SHIT! Debbie's the one who gave me half of her button collection. She's been collecting since the 60's so some of them rock my socks off!
I had my company's christmas party on Friday. Everyone looked so nice! Especially Bruce in his suit! He was like a trophy wife :-D Hee hee, but everyone was dying to meet him and now they have. I think one of the big wigs liked him the most, the three of us must have sat there and talked for a good hour! I love Ellen! We also took a bunch of good pictures, I can't wait to see them!
Christmas Eve is going to be at Bruce's grandmother's(Besta) house. A whole shitload of family and friends... I can't wait :-) Last year I was so fucking nervous to go over there!!! Now it's Ray's turn because he doesn't know anyone.... DON'T WORRY HUN, THEY'LL LOVE YOU! Then Christmas Day Bruce and I are going to my Aunt Pam's for my family's christmas. I think the kids'll be there too, which will be nice.
BUT... the BEST part of this whole holiday thing is going to be New Year's!!!!! Bruce and I, and a group of about 30 others(Mom and her new boytoy... I mean boyfriend, Ma & Pops, Paula & Robert, Jason, etc) are going on a cruise(I wish Kristin and Marc were coming too...next time I'll give them more notice so they can come)!!!! No, it's not one of those 7 day cruises I love to take during the summer... but a dinner cruise around the statue of liberty. 6 1/2 hr open bar, appetizers, meal, dessert, a band, dancing AND FIREWORKS OVER THE STATUE OF LIBERTY!!!! How do you fucking beat that? I've never really done much for New Year's.. mostly friend's houses, or home. But this year I'm going out... and I'm going out in style. We're going to be all dressed up and have so much fun!!
Needless to say... my holiday is going to be fun and full of celebration.
