The little squirrel died today. :-( Joanne said that he was having trouble breathing when she went to feed him at lunchtime. She tried to resuscitate him, but no luck. Poor baby. He seemed like he was doing well after we rescued him, but she said maybe he had an internal injury that we didn't know about. She looked in his mouth and he didn't seem to be choking on anything, and gave him sugar water in case it was a blood sugar issue. But who knows, alas!
