There are white splotches of paint on a bunch of the trees between our house and the neighbors' house, which I think means that they're going to cut down those trees. That makes me sad! When we moved in, the woman next door was complaining about how the trees dropped stuff on her hot tub. Well, I don't give a damn about her hot tub. And I don't have any fondness for the lady herself. I can understand if the roots are ruining her foundation or something, though... But at least she can't have all the trees cut down, because some of them are fully in our yard. They all sort of lean away from her house as if they don't like her any more than I do. I just hope that the workpeople don't trample our garden while they're cutting.
Then maybe we can plant some more trees this summer. It would be fun to have one with berries on it that would attract birds.
