i didn't know (remember?) you played cello!

they make lovely instruments. i've played a violin and viola by them, and they were both very nice.

and here i was thinking that $400 on a mystery cello and possibly taking lessons was perhaps a little on the crazy side :)

then again, one of the weird stringed instruments i own has more than doubled in cost since i bought one 15ish years ago, and well, it's not going to get cheaper. perhaps i should just learn to play that :)

Actually, the cello I am paying for now is a little over a $1K, and it would be considered low to mid range.

yah, normally when i find a cello in a store, i expect it to be $600-1500 as a starter. so when i saw this ine, which at a casual glance was only $400... mmm. i tried violin in college as an experimental instrument for my major... but i lean towards deeper sounds.

the biggest issue is "where to practice", my neighbors would kill me.

the movie "electric dreams" does not help :)
