actually feeling good about work???
Soooo.....we aren't meeting sales plan, but we are UP on last year!! UP!! "UP" totally a word that is new to me!! That means we are doing better than we did this time last year, however we aren't yet meeting the 10% increase they'd like to see. Fuck that's good enough for me considering we've been down forever!
So my girls totally cleaned my back room and its so awesome. All our stock is out of the back and everything is feeling really organized at work. My supervisor was supposed to come to my store on Monday but never showed up so i took pics and sent them to her. She was amazingly impressed. Normally nothing we do is good enough so this is why it was amazing that she was impressed.
Head office decided to make a new incentive for us at work which i think is definately pumping us up and giving us something achievable to work towards. Rather than just working towards sales, they are recognizing our productivity as well. if we meet the productivity goals they have set for us for the rest of the month then i make $750 bucks!!! We have been working so hard and we are now meeting these goals and are pushing to keep it up all month because we totally want the money. My assistant gets $375 as well. that would be sweet!
I've been putting my resume out to a few places to see what's out there because i have been pretty miserable about work, but sometimes it all feels great and i get confused. Are the few great times worth the constant stress? I love the girls i work with and would hate to leave them, but there are so many times that i just am not happy.
I have an interview for a receptionist position with price's alarms tomorrow, and then i have an interview and some testing on Tuesday with a placement company that puts people into entry level government positions. I think that i am only going to take another job is it is Mon-Fri and if it is making at least 32-33000 a year to start. This is still a bit of a paycut, but i think i'm willing to take a small one to not have to work on weekends, but i'm not willing to switch careers to another job that requires me to work on either day of the weekend. I figure if i can't find a job that is like this then i will just suck it up and stay in my job till i can finally have a baby.
