Mama Greece (aka Ancient/Classical Greece):
She was born and raised by the Greek city-states, and sadly had to endure alot of their infighting. The only thing they ALL could agree on was her. Athens and Sparta were opposites and often clashed, Thebes liked to play both sides in hopes he could take over, Corinth liked to show off how rich he was, & Delos spent all his time worshipping the gods. When they weren't trying to trick each other into battle they alternately fought and allied themselves with Persia. What they taught her was how important independence was and picking the right moment to strike. When Macedon brought his Alexander down to take over, she helped fight many times to get free. That mostly ended when Alexander killed Thebes, though she tried again after Alexander died (and still lost). Later on when Rome invaded she struggled against him but was no match and eventually had to surrender to being a guest in the Roman household.
She's quite tired of their arguments out there in Hades' realm (as she was never really Christianized herself, that was more her son) so while he's occupied with Persphone she's sneaking out. She also heard about Roma taking off, so she's following to make sure he doesn't cause too much chaos. Mama Greece still remembers what he did to her people but its been far too long to hold a grudge, and she'd rather make sure no one else gets the treatment. Of course, she's more wary of him now, and still quite willing to fight with him, even if she'll lose (again).
Her memories are too tied in with legends, so get her talking about herself and she can tangent off into wild stories. And she'd love to tell you all about herself and how advanced/superior her culture is. She has the same amount of ego as Rome, and it'll likely get worse once she realizes how much of her culture has spread around the world. As she learned from Sparta, she has no problem speaking her mind and doing as she pleased.
She doesn't really know any of the modern nations except for Egypt and of course her son. If she hears about where Turkey is she might mistake him for Persia. But she'll cheerfully learn about how the world changed after her and Rome were gone. She might also assume that since everyone took on a bit of Greek culture that they should all be her children, though she would remind them that Rome copied alot of it from her and they should know how it really works.
