Don't be alarmed! It's still me - the N!

After... oh god, over ten years? I've gone and changed my username to my stage name. It just sorta makes more sense - people in my offline life do call me Mama, and it tends to be my handle on forums and over on Blogger and such.

Oh Blogger. I fail at updating you. I always come back to my dear old El Jay, despite the whole... sometimes being down for hours and so on. I'm not really sure why. I suspect it may be the icons.

So yes, same old content, shiny new name that makes it easier to figure out who I am allll over the internets. Which reminds me - I need to cut our first podcast this weekend and see how awful it was. XD

My mom called this morning, and we talked for like, almost an hour and a half. This is the reason I had to change cell phone providers, people. Ma and I can chat. We talked a lot about her shop, and tarot, as we tend to do. She told me all about the new candles she's ordering from Coventry. I really like Coventry's candles - I tend to have a stockpile in my supply cabinet, especially of the Motor City Hoodoo line.

Which is why I find myself intrigued by their hoodoo oils. The oils I have now all come from Lucky Mojo, and they are undeniably fantastic, but I also can only get them online from the USA, which means I tend not to order very often. So I sort of want to check out the quality and see if many I could switch over. I may go check out some forums and see what other people think.

These are all by Greg McKinnon.

Skulls!

You can kind of get an idea of how fucked up it looked when we turned backwards, here:

Snakes!

...Snake Boobs!

We've been asked to do this number again this Friday at the Taboo Revue, which I'm excited for because I think I can do an even better job this time around. I was a little off last time.

Today it's all about Halloween supply shopping. Our annual cocktail party is next weekend, and it is going to be killer.
