Okay everyone, here's Part 2 of 2 of the magscans I translated earlier. XDD Sorry for the long wait; I had a major exam recently. Anyway, since some of you wanted to know, this was scanned from a mag called YGeneration imported from Malaysia.
SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT!! :D
Hero Jaejoong TALK:
As one of the main vocalists, Jaejoong shares a secret with everyone: "What all of you don't know is that I used to be completely unable to sing, you could even say that I sang extremely badly. So I never thought that I'd become a singer, because I'm not exaggerating when I say that back then I really was completely tone-deaf. Teacher Lee Soo Man gave me a lot of encouragement, and it's because of his encouragement that I got where I am today. Now I truly believe that hard work can change everything, with hard work even the tone-deaf can become a singer. I finally realise the meaning of "hard work/effort". I used to have no self-confidence, but Lee Soo Man often told us, "Don't give up, you will all become popular and successful someday, you will soar up high." So every time we get good results (meaning awards, etc), I feel that it's something that hasn't come easily and isn't to be taken for granted." The seemingly aloof Jaejoong is actually an ultra-emotional male; the effort he's put into his singing career has won the admiration of all the other members!
Xiah Junsu TALK:
During the Showcase, Junsu - who blushes whenever he gets nervous - shared a dream with his fans, which his mother dreamt while she was pregnant with him: "That year, mom dreamt of a farmer pulling a cart laden with fruit. Mom picked out the biggest peach there was, and a bunch of huge grapes, and all of a sudd she sensed intuitively that she would give birth to twins. Later on, she really had me and hyung - a pair of twins." However, the rest of the members teased him, saying it was no wonder Junsu's bum was like a peach then. This prompted the 50,000 fans in the audience to shout, "We want to see!!". You can imagine how red our kawaii Junsu's face turned! Luckily for him, Yunho rescued him by saying, "That would be troublesome~ I wouldn't want Junsu to be kidnapped!" He is indeed our caring "Leader Jung", who dotes on his bandmates!
Micky Yoochun TALK:
When asked about which member of DBSK envies which other member's voice the most, Yoochun said that he envied Changmin's penetrating high vocals the most, but also wanted to hear Junsu's "dolphin sounds" live, so Junsu performed his unique "dolphin sounds" for everyone on the spot. (OMG?! :3 XD;; ) On Junsu's successful collaboration with new SM artiste Jang Riln, "Timeless", the host asked the other members if they felt envious or jealous of Junsu for working with Jang Riln. Yoochun, who loves to make fun of Junsu, was the first to answer, "It's not jealousy, but more of the feeling that when Junsu sings with Jang Riln it's really strange - he sings too much better than when he usually sings with us. We're all wondering how come when he's performing with Dong Bang Shin Ki, he can't sing this well?" After the whole stadium went into hysterics, Max Changmin substituted Jang Riln to sing part of "Timeless" beautifully with Junsu; the beauty of his melodious high vocals was definitely on par with Jang Riln's, indeed he is the King of High Vocals Choikang ("strongest/best" in Korean) Changmin!
Uknow Yunho TALK:
During the Showcase, Yunho also shared the special feelings he had towards his job as a singer. In Yunho's family, starting from his grandfather, there had always been a long line of lawyers, judges, and inspectors among his relatives, it was practically a "Law Family". (P/S: Our Yunho once aspired to become an inspector, and in high school his highest-scoring subject was Politics/Governance!) Coming from such a conservative, traditional family, Yunho's parents violently objected to him becoming an artiste at first, but now his family members have become his greatest supporters. After experiencing the objections of his family and friends, Yunho treasures his status as a performer even more. Yunho says that a friend once told him, "If you can become a singer, I can become the President." He obviously doubted Yunho's chances of becoming a singer, but under these unsupportive circumstances, Yunho became Dong Bang Shin Ki's most responsible band leader!
Max Changmin TALK:
Not only is Changmin the "Big Appetite King" we all know him as, but he's actually the "King of Tonics" as well! Yoochun says, "Changmin is the healthiest among all five of us, he never falls sick. The rest of us tend to catch colds, etc, very easily, but it's very hard for Changmin to fall sick, this is because Changmin loves to eat tonics. Although he's still so young, he has his own ways of taking care of his body. Once, Yunho received some tonics as a gift, and at that time he was very healthy, so he felt there was no need for him to take them. When Changmin saw that Yunho didn't eat them, he immediately said, "Hyung, if you don't eat it, I'll eat it!" And thus the problem of Yunho's tonics was solved." Then, Yunho shares an experience they had in Japan: "In Japan, all of us went to see a doctor for a full-body checkup. Junsu and I had sore throats, Jaejoong hadn't recovered from his leg injury yet, and Micky had a bit of a flu as well. Only Changmin - after checking him, the doctor really had to give it to him, he was completely healthy! When the doctor was prescribing medicine for everyone, Changmin wasn't sick so he only gave him basic preventive medicine. But Changmin intently told the doctor, "Doctor, please give me the same medicine as the rest of them!" The doctor was speechless..." At this point, Changmin gives up and bravely declares his love for tonics on-stage: "I LOVE TONICS~"
Womg Changmin and tonics, that was too funny XDDD Declaration of love!! ♥
DONG BANG SHIN KI: XMAN EP49 APPEARANCE!!
Left column:
(Text in black box): First station: "Survivor Bridge"
Station summary: Both sides face off, the person who first forces his opponent onto the ground wins!
(1st picture caption): At this station, it's obvious that Yunho and Jaejoong are the main focus, because they've been the two sides involved in the final showdown for two challenges in a row. What must be surprising to many people is the fact that although Jaejoong looks delicate at first glance, he actually won the first round after a tough fight! But in the second round, Yunho made use of his superweapon - ultralong legs - and quickly finished Jaejoong off! (I'm sorrrry, but this sounds really wrong. ;___; )
(2nd picture caption): Jaejoong singing in Chinese? That's right! Jaejoong, whose character once mistakenly thought that Yunho had a crush on him in the Banjun drama "Dangerous Love", actually sang the first line of the Chinese version of "Hug", "If I could be your warm bed for just one day~", to his rumoured partner Yunho! OMG! (Seriously, the magazine said all that, NOT ME!! *______* ) And Yunho in turn admitted that after wrapping up the filming for "Dangerous Love", he felt so embarrassed that he couldn't look Jaejoong in the eye for 3-4 days!
Right column:
(Text in black box): Second station: "Dangyunhaji!" (Meaning "Of course!" in Korean.)
Station summary: Both sides say things to each other, and must answer each other with the phrase "dangyunhaji", up till the point where one side is unable to reply!
(1st picture caption): ROUND ONE: JAEJOONG VS CHANGMIN.
(2nd picture caption):
Jaejoong and Changmin, who are on "X Man" for the first time, have a showdown here! Jaejoong reveals that Changmin is a (computer) whiz kid who loves to download "special videos", and also that all his diary entries are about "what I ate today", not like the intelligent high school student he is at all!
Changmin counters by saying that Jaejoong once wore his Hamtaro pajamas at home, opened the balcony windows, and waved to the fans downstairs, forcing them all to move house!
(1st picture caption): ROUND TWO: JUNSU VS YUNHO.
(2nd picture caption):
Junsu: "Our leader Yunho ah~ always says that he likes reading books when interviewed. Hah, reading books indeed~ But at home, not once did I see him reading books, besides comics of course!"
Yunho: "Dangyunhaji! When Junsu gets interviewed, he always says that he loves to listen to music, and sometimes even classical music (Junsu's face turns as red as a peach). Hmph, classical music indeed~" (Everyone bursts out laughing).
Junsu: "Dangyunhaji! Isn't Yunho always saying that he wants to be an inspector instead of a singer? Hah, an inspector indeed~" (Thus, our kawaii SuSu defeats Yunho with his "indeed" discussion!)
(Top pictures):
BACKSTAGE:
In Korea, when their idols go on TV shows, fans prepare food for them as a form of motivational support. Therefore, the celebrities' level of popularity can be determined by the amount of food they receive! As a result, the first time (the whole of) DBSK appears on "X Man", the amount of food delivered backstage by the fans can only be described as "terrifying"!!
How heartbreaking~ when "X Man" was being recorded, our Jaejoong and Junsu were both sick. Junsu couldn't bring himself to eat anything for the whole day, and Jaejoong only ate the porridge that his fans prepared for him. But just by looking at the two boys' stellar performance on camera, who'd guess that they were actually pushing themselves to the limit?
(Bottom pictures):
SPECIAL GIFT!!
YG (the magazine) presents you with photos taken of the boys backstage, aren't they handsome? (Lacking sick SuSu~)
Awww, no Junsu ))): Poor sick 'Su. ♥
**BONUS!! (OMG I SPOT YOOSU!!!).
Exactly how funny is "Dangyunhaji"? Looking at DBSK's expressions, it's not hard to tell!
*********
