Because I'm not in the mood to go to sleep just yet...
Ten things about myself.
1. Growning up outside and going to a school on the other side of the world was a very different experience. I clearly remember learning about photosynthesis and how plants lived while I was in Grade 3.
2. My sister will always be keen to remind me that she was the first person to touch snow when we moved to Canada.
3. I once worked for a week at a company that went door to door selling crap. We didn't do houses, but preffered to do offices and shops. I once went into a house off ill repute and was shooed away by a lady who was standing at the top of a stair case and i was standing below next to a fountain. And did I mention this place was in an industrial plaza in the middle of nowhere.
4. I have never used a dishwasher in my life (Thanks to Willowwand for the idea). I know a lady who has two of them in her kitchen. I just find it easier to do them by hand and get them done already.
5. When I was 17 and I got a job in a mall at a supermarket, I discovered the secret world of joy that was British Magazines. The UK version of FHM circa 1997-1999 is the highwater mark in magazine publishing history in my opinion. That and the soccer magazines BBC Match of the Day and 4-4-2 all of which I used to buy every month. Each used to be about 300 pages and I used to keep them like a library in my locker at school.
6. I used to have a major crush on this girl in grade 9, and 10, but it stopped soon after when she got pregnant. :(
7. Once when my brother was in school, he and his friends got stung by a bunch of bees, becaus some idiot thew somethign at a hive, and one of the places he got stung was on his eye. I.........*thank god*.......have never been stung by a bee yet. But mosquitoes on the other hand have dined on me like a cheap all you can eat $2.50 buffet every time I have gone back to Goa.
8. I have seen one dead body in my life. A kid who went to this small school that I went to for a few months back home, got bitten by a snake and died. I was so young at the time I didn't realise that I was staring a dead body when the rest of the school was taken went to see the body before it was buried.
9. Shiiki knows this, but I have forever had this vision that Singapore would be the coolest place to live. It just sounds so neat. I don't know what else to say. Even if it is just to visit, I would love to go there once. I have made many bad jokes to my friend about Singapore Slings and the Singaporean Bikini team.
10. I have an aversion to wearing jewelery and it comes from my father. He once had his ring finger crushed at work and therefore when his finger swelled it got even worse because his wedding ring was on. Therefore he stopped wearing it at that point. Maybe if he wore any jewelery I would feel more inclined to do so. But even though I bought a school ring when I graduated I just feel tacky wearing it. So right now I don't wear anything, not even a watch.
psst...My beta Willow_Wand, beta'd all 19 pages of Chapter 15 of "A Second Chance..." and she didn't even need to take extra strength painkillers in order to complete it. I am shocked. Is there nothing this woman can't do?
