This time of year, a lot of us think to ourselves about the coming year and all the big things we are want to do. The big moves, the big plans, the big changes that we say to ourselves "This will be the year I do THAT. Or THAT." I guess this is part of our human nature to do it. It can help in some ways but it also can hinder us. Because in our rush to always look at the big stuff we sometimes forget about the little things. The daily events that keep us going, make us happy and make life bearable.
So while I have big goals like most people that I want to accomplish in the new year, I also am going to try not to lose sight of everyday, well life.
And to give a visual indication of the sort of thing I'm talking about, here is a scene from a certain cop show that has a quote that I will think about in the coming year.
"Life is the stuff that happens while you wait for moments that never come."
(Well that's the line without the swearwords in it.)
