EEE PC
Just got a new toy at work, a nice EEE PC (sadly a black one rather than the pink I asked for...). Eventually it'll end up in a waterproof box up a tower acting as a bridge between our sensor devices and the uni wifi network but I get to take it home for the weekend to play with (and get our dev system compiled on it).
It's got to be the most functional desktop environment I've played with since a Mac (Windows isn't ready for the desktop yet...). All works, for large values of shiny. Perhaps modern versions of the Inferior Finnish Imitation aren't so bad after all. :-)
Now I just need to magic some money out of thin air so that I can buy one (or two, I think C's smitten too).
