"When men began to increase on earth and daughters were born to them, the divine beings saw how beautiful the daughters of men were and took wives from among those that pleased them. The LORD said, 'My breath shall not abide in man forever, since he too is flesh; let the days allowed him be one hundred and twenty years.' It was then, and later too ( Read more... )

Who are you to judge? You were not there then. You did not see the beauty of the daughters of men when the world was young. They were innocent, they were new and wild and wise and foolish they had shed the hair of beasts. I know the pain of those who went to them, because I felt that longing myself.

YOU WERE NOT THE ONE WHO HAD TO PUNISH THEM...ALL OF THEM....even the innocent children with whom they had sinned...

It's over, Uriel.

You don't have to judge no more.

[[OOC: Alexiel can't help but feel bad for Uriel. Damn her soft spot despite saying their friendship was over. Btw, the Grigori in AS were like Katan before Rosiel give him a body, so I assumed the watchers weren't supposed to have a shell anymore after some of them uhmm sinned]].

Millennia old, and your grammar blows.

Come then, boy, speak to us in our own language, that your kind name Enochian, and we shall see the quality of your grammar.

You sought me out in conversation, not I you.

No, you are right. The half-breed child knows nothing of how it was then, of those who were cast into darkness for the terible sin of falling in love. I have no need to justify myself to him.

...but sometimes I still hear them screaming...

[[OOC: Clariiiice. And let's remember that I don't think the book of Enoch explicitly states it was a particular set of the hierarchy of angels that sinned with men, the Hebrew word "Irin" which is translated into the Greek as Egregoris, or Grigori (watchers) could just as easily mean "Those Who Are Awake", and thus really be any set of angels at all, referring to their higher state of consciousness in relation to humanity.]]

Nor have I asked you to justify yourselves. Fascinating as your lives are, they simply do not match that of the Heaven and Hell of where I, nor mine, come from. Perhaps if you all acted more like the powerful creatures you claim to be, instead of like traumatized children who were locked in the closet with rats by their daddy, and simply speak of your experiences with wisdom and not spite, we would get along far more so.

((OOC: The Watchers were only one set of many that had sinned with men, considering the numbers of Fallen that are accounted for in the actual Bible. There were only, what, 15-20 Watchers (I can't remember the exact number, but I have the list of their names somewhere...), and some of them, from what modern theorists say, are attempting to repent for forsaking God. *coughs* *runs away from butting in!*))

That is a good enough thing to ask of me. I will try to do as you ask. But forgive me if I cannot speak with wisdom, for of the things that I have done, the sins that I have committed, were not wise.

((OOC - Semjaza and his lot, right? Isn't exegesis fun..))

You are wise to think so. I bring nothing but death.
