The Ghost of Ecks-Mas Past
Hope Christmas went well for all. This is just a brief recap of events.
My dad got me an HDTV. I figured it'd be a 720, since it's only a 24", but it's a full 1080.
Last night was the Crimbo party, in which I got a neat little...creature, nailed to a piece of wood (it's very cool looking) and a yellow Cthulhu hat (with flappy wings!).
I made eggnog, and wrote a story (bringing me up to three, this one being far less lengthy than last year's 32 page beast).
I went out today while hanging out with austerity101 and picked up a Blu-Ray player. I also decided that since blu's are a bit more costly than DVDs, that I'd only really focus on movies that are visually-intense. I picked up Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Pan's Labyrinth, and Donnie Darko (since it was only ten bucks). After getting the blu-ray up and running, I tossed in Pan, then checked out a regular DVD and am VERY impressed with the resolution of even a basic DVD, I then moved some furniture around my room, to make the tv a bit less "in a random corner" and instead "someplace I could sit and watch a movie or play a video game." Now I'm fairly tired.
Everyone is well, and it's back to work tomorrow. Even more so, I'm wishing I actually got to bed early.
