Lea/Jonathan - Me and You
A story about our favorite best friends at the non-existent MTV Television Awards (for now at least, lol). I suck at summaries, but it's a Lea/Jon fic, okay! Just read it. (;

When they decided to do a television version of the MTV Movie Awards - now known as the MTV Television Awards - everyone jumped on it. Tickets were sold out in an instant, and although the Teen Choice Awards were the next best thing, the TA`s reached out to a much bigger audience. To nobody's surprise, a lot of celebrities wanted to be a part of this momentous occasion, but what everyone was most curious about was which shows, actors and actresses were nominated.
Of course, Glee had a lot of nominations. Not only were they up for "Best Show", but also "Favorite Cast', "Best Comedy/Musical". There were almost too much to mention. "Here with E! now is one of Glee's leading ladies, Lea Michele. Lea, I can expect that you and your co-stars are thrilled about all the nominations. Not to mention the individual nominations. You might become TV's favorite actress tonight."
Lea recognized the woman as Maria Menounos. This felt still a tad unreal to her. Two years ago she watched her show on TiVo with Jon after another late-night performance of Spring Awakening, and now she'd be on it. (She tried to remember if she'd set her TiVo tonight)
She was walking the red carpet with her co-stars, doing interviews an hour before the show would start, and although practically all the questions were repeated by each reporter, they answered them all with pleasure, grace and gratitude. They owed everything to their fans, and it was them again that got them there. So Lea considered the question carefully, and quickly glanced around to see some of her ‘competition’ busy in conversation too.
"Well, if I were to win, it would be a huge honor for me. But you know, have you seen who I'm up against? There's Nina Dobrev, Leighton Meester, Sophia Bush, Katie Cassidy. So I don't really know if I belong up there with them yet." she answered and Maria nodded in understanding.
She started to ask another question but she was interrupted by a voice behind Lea. "She does belong there, tell everyone I said so." Lea turned around to find Jonathan beaming at her, a grin as wide as she'd ever seen.
“Jon! Oh my God!” Lea squealed as he pulled her in for a hug, squeezing her tightly. She forgot that technically she was still being interviewed.
“What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in London right now." she reminded him as she took in his appearance (black suit with a red shirt and tie - coincidentally matching her dress) and narrowed her eyes.
"Dianna?" she asked and he nodded affirmatively. "She called me and basically told me to get my ass down here to be a part of it with you guys. And You look amazing." he complimented as he put his arm around her and turned the two of them back to Maria. "So sorry for interrupting. Excuse my rudeness."
Maria waved his apology away and let him join in for the interview. "Just off the plane from London is Jonathan Groff, who portrayed Jesse St. James in the back-8 episodes. Did you enjoy working on Glee?"
"I did, very much. This is a cliché but everyone was so nice, and really, they all deserve everything that's coming their way. And I was just lucky to experience my best friend’s success from up close." he said smiling.
"You know, I was so excited that Ryan wrote a part for him. With Spring Awakening, we were the couple that fell in love and now we were sort of doing that again, but there was also that competitive side between Rachel and Jesse that was a lot of fun to play. But of course, in the end, he double-crossed us." Lea giggled, firing away.
"He shouldn't even think about considering that in real life." which earned a mock "NEVER." from Jon as they both laughed.
"Like you mentioned, you were the leading couple of Spring Awakening, so you had to be quite intimate on stage every night. Obviously, you have great chemistry and the trust between you is immensely big, but apparently viewers have noticed because Rachel and Jesse are nominated for "Favorite Couple" and "Best Kiss"!
Lea and Jon grinned at each other with a sparkle and quirk in their eyes.
"I was totally surprised at that one, to be honest. We never had such a ‘memorable’ kiss. At least not one I remember." Jon joked cracking up all the while, which earned him a smack on the shoulder from his best friend.
"If you win. will you be continuing the Movie Awards tradition of repeating your kiss onstage?" the woman asked with a sneaky smile. The duo seemed pensive about it and then shrugged.
"Who knows? Maybe we have something up our sleeve. Maybe not. You just have to hope we'll win." Lea finished as Maria nodded and thanked them for the interview.
Lea dragged Jon with her up the red carpet again when some photographers asked them for pictures. They linked hands comfortably and gazed into all directions for a while.
"Are we really nominated for "Best Kiss"?” he whispered in her ear and she laughed out loud at his lack of media awareness. She then nodded and mouthed "l bet we're going to win." Now he was the one to laugh before he leaned down and kissed her cheek softly. Their smiles almost reached their ears as the cameras flashed even more.
