The Muni Giveth, And The Muni Taketh Away
I almost missed my first day of school today. I missed a bus this morning by about half a block. While this normally wouldn't be any kind of problem since the N runs every six minutes, it turns into a problem when the bus doesn't show up ever again. After forty minutes of waiting, I was about to shake my first, curse the world, go home a failure, and make myself a nice cup of tea, but I overheard a guy waiting at the same stop as me calling a cab to take him downtown. I asked to split it with him, and he accepted, which was great because I was not willing to spend the $25 to get me to school. Thanks to the plucky cab driver, I made it with about two minutes to spare. And ended up with a seat (for the rest of the semester) next to the guy I've had a bit of a crush on. Sweet.
And because the people I know should be warned, I have come down with a bit of a cough which has been exacerbated by the cold weather. It sucks, and I don't recommend it. So, if you see me, we need to totally not make out.
Finally, Natalie gave me a Darth Vader cookie jar and it matches my Darth Vader water bottle nicely.
