Job update (forgot)
I just realized that I forgot to update about my work stuff. Things have really changed, for the better.
Some staff @ work complained about the mangler to the HR director for our zone, so he sent our DM to the store for a few days to do some investigating. The DM talked to most of the staff, talked to the mangler, and left behind a number of changes. The biggest change, which has made a number of people happy, is no more late nights. We cannot stay any later than 30 mins after the store closes. No more 2+ hour recoveries, no last minute detail recovering. The mangler cannot insist on perfection, and she has to let us start recovery much earlier. Also, we are supposed to get more hours for work, hopefully getting more employees to take the hours. We've lost so many people, most who are left are far newer than me. I guess we'll see how much of a difference it makes for people. So far the mangler has been much more subdued, and we have definitely gotten out much sooner lately than in the past. Even tonight, crazy though it was, we got out 35 minutes after we closed.
We shall have to wait and see how much has really changed.
