In the last month...
- I've had my penpal ad featured on Penpal of the Week!
- Really gotten into Postcrossing and the Forums
- I got to meet roina_arwen and her hubby! We had a fabulous visit this last weekend when they came for a weekend trip!
- I got to see my Wendi-Lady and her hubby, too!
- Made it through midterms as of today. No clue if I did well or not, but I made it through.
- Helped my friend Sarah move across town to her new house, which is abso-fricken-lutely amazing!!
- Had a girl's day with Michelle including pizza and pumpkin dip and puzzles and browsing at the book store and watching Anne of Green Gables
- Made some new friends
- Watched both way too little and way too much on Netflix
- Got cookies from my dad
- Started a postcard collection on my wall outside my room.
- Cleaned my room (mostly) and cleaned off my desk! I'm now actually using it on a daily basis!!
- Have had allergy flare ups, so now I'm wheezing and hacking and using my inhaler 2-3 times a day. I'm getting better, but I sound horrible.
- Made the most amazing hot toddy!! Oregon Chai (original flavor) with milk and honey and a good shot or so of my friend Silver's amazing spiced honey rum!! It's divine!
- Been dealing with MICE!! Ugh! Horrid creatures!
- Had to borrow money from my dad to stay afloat and still had bills bouncing! Eek!
- Been looking for a second job - not enough hours at Seeking Sitters lately, causing the previous bullet point. I can't survive on 20 hours a week. 30 is cutting it extremely slim. I need 40 to be able to buy groceries. I'm tired of one lousy meal a day! I miss the old days of before July when I was getting 50-70 hours a week normally! Now I'm lucky to get 35, usually only getting 20-25.
- Got ambushed by a Mormon. The second date is NOT the time to tell the girl you're with that by "Christian, not really affiliated with any denomination" (which you disclosed before you went out for the first date), you really mean that you're LDS. Seriously. He then proceeded to tell me that he wanted me to convert so he could take me through the temple and be sealed forever with me in the afterlife. Dude. We just met. WAY TOO SOON! And HELL NO!! I don't mind that he's Mormon, but I don't date people with beliefs that are so drastically in conflict with my own.
I can't think of anything else, and it's late and I need to get up early for a shockingly long day! 9am-8pm with 4 kiddos that are off school for fall break! If they get all their chores done before lunch, we can to go a movie!
