Last call for Christmas cards! I want to send them all out before I leave for Christmas break, so I need addresses if you want a card from me! I'll be screening comments, so you can leave your address here, or you can PM me. If you want my address, just ask and I'll PM it to you.
Also, I'M GOING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS!! After the MASSIVE screw-up that my mother made last week, when she decided to take the gas money my dad and brother had promised me and supplement it with money she begged from friends and family (after I explicitly told her NOT to ask people for money to help me take a vacation) and then bought me a plane ticket I can't use (Dec. 21-Feb. 28? Really?), I thought I wasn't going to be able to get home. Thankfully my dad and brother came through and made her fix her screw up, since I shouldn't have to continue to pay the consequences of her mistakes. So, she had to buy my another plane ticket for dates I can use, and with prices being what they are, that means I have to take 10 days off of work instead of 4 for the trip home. I love getting to go home for the first time in 2 years, and I love getting actually have time off, but missing out on over a third of my income for the month while increasing my expenses, when I live this || close to the wire and pay check to pay check, means I have no clue how I'm going to pay bills at the end of the month and the first part of January. When my Financial Aid overage comes through, I'll have about a grand to cover things, but it will be too late for most of the bills I'll need it for. Thankfully I can push off rent. Holly's understanding about that, and she's the one who suggested it.
Now I just have to survive the last few assignments I have (a poem about Biology, an 800 word essay arguing any interpretation of Mrs. Dalloway that I like, final editing on my fiction and non-fiction and 6 poems for my chap book that is my final project/exam for Creative Writing), and then exams on the 10th, 12th, and 13th, and I'll be done with my first full time semester back in college while working full time! It's been a crazy few months, but I've made it work, and it makes me excited to get started with next semester already!! The next year and a half are going to be this same non-stop, breakneck pace, but at the end of it, I should finally have the degree I've worked so freaking hard for. Over 6 years of full time classes, not including summer school, a year of half time courses, and two years off to get here. I can't wait to finally finish!!
