So, while wandering teh Intarwebz, I've found some cool things. I thought I'd share.
I've gotten into swapping! I've been doing it with my jewelry and BPAL, and now I've found these sites for some fun swappage:
Paperbackswap.com - Here you can swap books of all sorts from paperback to hardcover and even audio. I've got almost 50 books listed, have shipped out two, have two more holding and have one from my wishlist on its way to me already. It's a great way to be rewarded for the books you'll never read again, and to find books that you want to read. You get your first credits for listing books, then you earn another credit for each book you send out and is received. Most books are one credit.
Swapacd.com - Sister-site to PBS, here you swap your unwanted cds. They must be in playable condition, though you don't have to have the case. You CAN NOT list burned cds. This should be obvious. Again, a great way to pass on albums you aren't interested in as your tastes change, and works through a credit system like PBS.
Swapadvd.com - Yet another sister-site to PBS and SAC, and they must be playable and not burned. I've got one ready to ship and quite a few on my wishlist. This also works on the credit system like PBS and SAC. For all three of these, you can purchase extra credits if you don't have things to swap.
In fun amusement, I've enjoyed playing the Slot Social on
Winster.com lately. A one month membership was even my entertainment splurge for the month. You can play for free and you can earn real prizes for playing. I like it because you get into a max.5 person room and you all can play together and earn points, swapping things out and taking turns cashing in the jackpot. It's a lot of fun. Sometimes you'll get in a crappy room with selfish people, but then you just swap out rooms or join a friend in their room.
Things are starting to come together for the craft show. My dad fixed up my board for me, so now it stands on its own. I'm working on building up my stock a little more, hoping to sell well.
I'm still looking for a job. Waiting to hear back more about the nanny position. She's understandably slow in communication, what with a 4 week old babe in arms. Still, it's a little frustrating for me not to know one way or the other.
I did finally get out of the house for a little bit. I went to Nate's birthday party Thursday night and got to see Esther there! I've not seen her in ages! It was quite a bit of fun. ^_^ Remind me to not just drink whatever is handed to me in the future, though... Not necessarily the smartest thing I've ever done.
Oh! I got a giant jewelry chest! About 4 ft tall, 3 drawers, a double drawer, a cabinet with two shelves and hooks, the top lifts up with a mirror and compartments. It's solid birch. I'll get pics soon to share. My aunt gave it to me. She's had it in storage for a few years and it was going to go to Goodwill if I didn't take it.
I think that's all for now... maybe.
