lj outage and u2 fan club
I think I'm going to shell out for a paid LJ account. I don't really use my own journal much; I just read other people's. However, this outage has brought home to me how much I depend on LJ and I think I owe their efforts some financial support.
While on the subject of things I never thought I'd spend money on..... I just joined the U2 online fan club. I've never joined a fan club before in my life. The recent delay in announcement of their tour plans made me realize how much I want to see them in concert. Members of their fan club get priority for ticket purchases and they will be doing a show at an arena very near me. My partner does not want to go with me and I don't know any other U2 fans. It would be weird to attend such a thing alone, but better that than missing out all together, I think.
