Longer than usual and there's several reasons.
The major one is the game we just finished - today is hopefully the last day of last minute bugfixes. The game is Galactrix, the sci-fi version of PuzzleQuest, and I believe is pretty much ready to be released on DS and is going through the last stages of testing and approval for PC and XBox360. My first shipped game with my name in the credits! Woohoo!
My formerly broken leg is doing fine. If I don't walk on it for more than about an hour, my knee gets stiff and is sore to walk on for a couple of minutes and I don't exactly run anymore, more like a rapid walk/hobble. Which doesn't really bother me too much as I was never much into running anyway. It does make it awkward to dash across the road whilst avoiding traffic though and also running for the train.
After several months of little work in the backyard (due to me not being able to dig post holes anymore), we have finally cemented in all the posts for the fence around the veggie patch and now we're concentrating on the major jobs around the place that we've been planning since we moved in. The plans change in places here and there, but all in all we've got a firm idea of what the backyard is going to be like when it's finished. We're still going to be going slow on it for a while as we have certain other things that we need to be able to afford.
One of those things has been the IVF program. After going to assorted doctors, they approved us for one of the IVF programs - not the full combine-everything-in-a-test-tube program, just a few chemicals to get things happening at the right times etc to give a helping hand. We (and by we I mean Gaia) will have an ultrasound in about three weeks so we might have an announcement then. (If you know how these things work, you might already know the answer - we're not counting chickens yet. I'll tell you why when the time comes :)
There's probably more news but it's taken me nearly four hours to write this in between bug testing and I'm ready to go home. I probably won't leave for another hour but there's lots to do before then, so I'm outta here. I'll write up more about my experiences working on Galactrix when I get a chance.
