God I'm lazy

Yeah so I'm a lazy-ass who is lucky if I update this thing once a month. Sue me, I'm a husband-to-be who is actually involved in planning the wedding.

We're less than a month and a half out from the wedding day, and I have no clue how this is getting paid for. My tax return was pretty good, all things considered, but Heidi being a teacher, she didn't have the return she'd hoped for. In other words, luxuries are nonexistent, aside from one baseball game. Davey Boy hasn't played a round of golf in two months, and he's none too pleased.

What that means of course, is that I'm going to the golf course (aka the backyard) to at least hit a bucket of balls and dick around on the putting green, and of course see how many old-timers I can piss off by listening to my iPod (on headphones obviously) and ignoring them the whole time. Sometimes it's just fun to rile people up for no good reason.

Getting real tired of telemarketers already. Found a free computer program that zaps calls and also will play whatever message you record for them right before your phone number gets zapped from their database. I'm in the early stages of course, going over my list of numbers to zap, and what obscenities to direct to which telemarketers (some have been worse than others, which I guess is like saying a hacked-off ear is worse than a large leg gash or a papercut between your thumb and index finger - it's true, but they're all pains).

Can you tell that I'm starting to frazzle a bit?

On a side note, for those that have a chance to come to the wedding, and have some time to kill that morning, we are rounding up people to play a round of golf at this 9 hole par 3 course in my hometown of Greensburg. Email me at malonedp@hotmail.com by this Sunday the 24th if you want to play.

And finally, we broke down and bought a lawnmower. We had to. In our neighborhood, there are all these rules, and one of them is that the lawn has to be immaculate. How they expect our lawn to be immaculate when it was a dust pan when we moved in is beyond me. But we do have grass, in spots, and it is getting long enough that it needs a trim. Seeing as this yard is small, we went pushmower. But we went with an electric mower at that. It actually made for a cheaper price, go fig. Now if we can just get the grass to grow in the bare spots so that the next time that Heidi mows (or the first time I mow) not so much dust is stirred about.

Hopefully my sister and brother-in-law come down with the rest of my family in July. My brother-in-law is a Landscaping Zen Master, which is in contrast to Heidi's Black Thumb and my clear thumb (in other words, I'm a vegetation virgin).

Well off to bed, for about 4 hours, then I'll enjoy my day off.

Out like a Sumo wrestler stealing third.

PS - Did anyone else see the Curling block that was on ESPN2 on Monday? Now THAT'S entertainment!
