I think I notice the moon more when it's faint and low in the afternoon. When I was little I had a phase where I wanted to be an astronaut, but I guess every little kid goes through that.
Canada is my favorite place ever. It's such a wonderful wonderful country with fun multi-colored money and Loonies and Two-nies. I go there pretty often since I only live 45 mintues or so away. I really want to live there someday.
Talking Heads are really fantastic. I've been listening to that live album that came out last year a lot - the name of this band is talking heads, it's really good. One of my favorite songs is "the girls want to be with the girls," but it's hard to choose. I've never actually listened to the B52s. I'm guessing that's something I should hear?
I haven't seen united states of leland, but I've been meaning to check that out too. I have so many movies I need to watch! I rented City of Lost Children which is supposed to be really good. It's by the same guy who did Amelie and A very long engagement, so hopefully I'll enjoy that. Have you seen it? It's about a madman who's trying to steal a little boy's dreams.
Love Liza was kind of weird. One of those movies that's better after it's over and you can think about it a little. It's very slow-burning, but I guess Phillip Seymour Hoffman movies are like that (I just watched Owning Mahoney, but it wasn't all that good).
Thank you! I'm really excited, but kind of scared at the same time. Apparently it's a very intimate experience where you have to share so much with the other 39 people and I'm not good at that type of thing.
I liked the romantic notions of touching the moon and floating in the stars, and I guess even exploding into flames in space, but the actuality of it scared me too much. My favorite is when the moon appears hours before sunset, the sky is clear and pale blue and the moon's above one eye and the sun above the other. That's so neat.
That's really cool that you live so close!
Oh I haven't heard that album! I have 'Remain in Light' but I mostly just listen to Sand in the Vaseline, the greatest hits compilation which is awesome. Yess, you should, only this album though. They're really ridiculous and fun. I found the record a few months ago for $1! I'm addicted to cheap records, the music store by me has a pretty decent selection.
I like movies like that. The films I've been watching lately have really stuck, still thinking them over days and days later. I've only seen Philip Seymour Hoffman in PT Anderson movies, well, only Magnolia and Punch Drunk Love, but I liked him in those. I want to rent Boogie Nights soon.
Aw, that is scary! I'm definitely not great with groups either. I hope it goes really well, and that the nervousness wears down quickly enough for the benefit of it to set in. :)
heh yeah Sometimes I completely agree, but other times I swear I could sleep for days, it's gross : /
