Once, in Canada, Jason and I drove through green hills to a lake where we were bitten by mosquitos. We waited retreated reappeared and then a man came in a truck turned off the lights and sang. We ate watermelon and returned to our native country passing factories the sky was dull and unexciting ( Read more... )

ha, romance is my forte.

for some odd reason, I love this question. when I was little my uncle had a farm and on the farm he had a goat and I sat it on the goat and pretended that I was a cowboy (I was sort of a misguided little boy).
I've only ridden a horse twice and both times were years ago, but once was in the middle of winter and everything was covered in snow. It was wonderful and it makes me want to do it again in a week when I go to Wisconsin.
My uncle's friend has llamas that I really want to go see, but I've never gotten the chance.

I really want to travel into the far, far north parts of Canada and see bears and caribou in the wild. I'm not much of a camper/outdoors-type in reality, but so many of my fantasies revolve around living in the woods.

I read a heartwarming story about the two elephants at the Detroit zoo recently. They finally realized that it's inhumane to force the elephants to endure the bitter Michigan winters so they're sending both of them (i love animal friends, there was a story about two gay penquins in the newspaper a few months ago and it was adorable) to a sanctuary in San Diego.

i forgot to come back and reply:

aw! that's great
and oh you should

mine too! it is my favorite place usually
i feel entirely balanced surrounded by the trees and the mud and streams and everything where it should be

and that is wonderful.

i haven't been around very many animals actually : /
domestic and deer etc,
and then horses recently, and the zoo once, and a historical farm by my house
there's a large duck pond near my house and my friend chris and i feed them so often that the last time we went, we pulled into the parking lot across the road and they saw us and came out of the pond, crossed the road, and waddled up the door of his car wanting food
it was so neat

i wouldn't mind living on a ranch or farm at some point either

there is so much i want to see
