Greetings. My name is ANI; the Automated Neutral Intelligence system created for the purpose of observation and cataloging said observations. I and my creator share no affiliations with the "Malnosso" Organization, nor do we align ourselves with designations "John" or "Jacob."

I see that you observe all aspects of Luceti.

Very nice to know. Though a good portion of the populace would still not know what to do with the topic of Shifting even if it was out in the open.

Our knowing this information will not alarm the Malnosso? John isn't exactly forthcoming with details about his research.

They are aware that several of the test subjects have been exposed to the term via the Third Party. It would come to no surprise should discussions regarding it crop up.

Very well. I'm sure Raine will make some additions to her documents.

The Hunter's reappearance was unexpected. Measures were taken to lessen our exposure to it.

Very astute.

It's been recalled now.

It would be more astute if it didn't take bodily harm to make that observation.

The other scientists didn't react well to John's vacation?

[A laugh.] Nooo, they were rather irate.

Understandably so. Rather tactless of them to sic the Hunter on us, though.

Would you be able to answer more specific questions about the Hunter? [He's tried asking John before, but that didn't get him very far.]

I might.

Why does the Hunter take wings? What does it do with them?

Reply

malnosso November 9 2009, 21:32:08 UTC
"Do?" It doesn't particularly do anything with them. Tosses them aside, most likely.

chikaidestroyer November 9 2009, 21:58:22 UTC
So it has no purpose but to take wings. [Well. That's disappointing. Or disconcerting.] Why do the Malnosso consider it a "failure"?

Clearly it doesn't do a very thorough job, does it?

That's if its objective is to cull the population. When it was first introduced, it was more a vehicle to terrify us than anything else. Why would the Malnosso hold on to it if it doesn't do its job well?

Well, I suppose for the same reason they hold on to all of you.
