[...What. WHAT. With such short notice too...]

You are desperate for soldiers, so you call upon "additional reinforcements" at the last minute. Delightful.

[...Well. If they'll have to fight together, he might as well point something out.]

You may wish to take a closer look at their message, Amiti. I'm afraid their demands are not our only concern.

[This is the absolute last person he wants to even think about right now, and seeing him on the list also? Does not help. Nevertheless, he still has to respond, at least. His tone is...irritated, to say the least.]

So it seems. Minimum risk...which means there still is one.

[Even if he couldn't hack that shut up okay, he's not stupid most of the time, and definitely did read the responses.]

[Alex's own tone is as calm as ever - although there's an underlying hint of irritation in it as well. It's not actually directed at Amiti, though. This whole mess is just... irking him.]

Correct. And no matter how small that risk may be, you'll want to exercise caution.

[ ... ] Our powers should not be affected as long as we distance ourselves from the Shifters. Keep this in mind, Amiti.

[That'll probably be their main advantage out there: no power cap. That should make things a little easier, to say the least.]

[THAT'S WHAT YOU THINK ALEX The last time Alex told him to do that, the complete opposite happened.]

I have absolutely no intention of engaging any of them in combat.

[As skilled as he is with light blades, having his Psynergy sealed is not a good prospect thank you very much.]

[Hey, quit being so pessimistic, Amiti.]

Then let us hope that neither of us will encounter them. [Because let's face it, having to fight without Psynergy would be problematic for both of them.

...Moreso for him than for Amiti, but that is something he'll keep to himself.]

[He's not letting you get away that easily. B|]

And if they encounter us?

[At least he has light blades and bows to fall back on. Can't say the same for Alex.]

Then we have no choice but to fight them, unless an escape route should present itself. [Hear that tone? There's an underlying hint of you should know this already in it. It seems pretty obvious to him.

And hey. Hey. The Shifters are precisely why he plans to bring a few items. In case he does encounter one, he might as well keep something to fall back on in case his Psynergy is disabled with him.]

Be careful out there, all right?

[And nope, not telling about how she asked Nami to check up on you and Alex.]

[Awkward. Awkward. Aaaaaaaaaaaawkward. He's still inwardly dying after the whole experiment thing, but for her to even say this is...kind of nice.]

...I will. Your concern is appreciated.

[But what sort of person would want something to happen to someone she knows? It may be awkward, but she doesn't wish anything bad to happen to anyone she actually knows at all.]

I only hope my concern is unwarranted and you will come back unharmed. If you have any questions, I know some of what the drafts are like from hearing from others who have gone before.

[A pause. So many questions to ask, to prepare. After all, war is inevitable, and the best thing to do would be to familiarize yourself.]

...If I may ask, how powerful are the Third Party soldiers?

I've heard their main advantage is the fact that they have larger wings that allow flight. Those with any sort of long ranged attacks, whether it be magic, arrows, or guns will have an easier time than those who lack them, but no one has truly had a problem dealing with them as long as they know how to fight.

The one to be the most concerned about is their leader who is referred to as "The General" because we don't know anything more about him other than he is the leader and quite powerful.

[Note to self, get a bow. Preferably with a Mercury unleash. Foot soldiers but with wings, huh. Not too hard, considering what they've fought before. It's the idea of actually killing that bothers him.]

And what are the chances of this "general" appearing on the battlefield as well?

Considering that they've never added last minute reinforcements before? I'd say it is likely very high.

Also, you can use your journal out there. We've gotten messages from people drafted before, but it also can be of use to call for help and let people know you are fine. [Hint: she wants to hear from you at some point after the first day knowing that you are fine.]
