We should have capes. Those seem to go hand in hand with glory. [ tiny sigh, on this end. ] I'm not that out of practice. And we have less than a day, Buffy.

They've got amazing beds at the draftee hotel. You can sleep when you're there. [ anxiety is still clear in her voice. ] I'm not out of practice and I still practice, Dawn. Did last night.

Yay, we'll rest easy before we get to go fight a war that isn't ours. Joy. [ gdi buffy she's trying to not freak out here. ] And I eat a lot of cheesecake and bug Spike to keep a ton of snacks around.

...Crossbows. Do they have some? Because even if my running for my life skills are rusty, aim doesn't exactly care that I had my brush with the freshman fifteen.

You can have them delivered to the rooms, along with whatever other kind of fatality-inducing item you might want to think of. But -- crossbow. That's a good idea.

I'm going with crossbow and maybe sword. Starting something new doesn't seem like the smartest idea.

...Really wishing I was less research the spells girl and more cast the spells girl, right now. Just knowing there's a spell that can make someone's brain liquefy doesn't exactly help here.

[ buffy is less keen on the magics, but... ] Maybe when we get back, you should look into the filial spirits. [ but she can still be support-o-gal for her sister; besides, she has a lot of close friends here that do well with the spirits. ] They seem a little less gateway drug than the magics from home.

Andrew mentioned them. Maybe I will, I've kind of been on the restless side. [ her laugh isn't exactly humorous, here. ] Careful what you w-word for, huh?

Willow's been looking into them, but...[ without a filter, she shouldn't say much else. but buffy knows that dawn's clever enough to figure out the timeline implication. ] But Raine's really good with them, too.
