Uncle Glenn
My Uncle (and Godfather) Glenn passed away this morning. It had gotten to the point where there was some medication needed to keep each of his vital organs running and finally he had some kind of infection that took him off the list for a liver. He wasn't conscious when I got there, and about 5 minutes after I got to the hospital, they started turning off the machines giving him the meds to keep things running. 5 minutes after that he was gone.
I still can't believe he's gone. Just three weeks ago Jacob and I spent two hours talking with him about his work, kids, and life.
We were all so sure he'd get his liver today, too. It's my Nana's birthday. She would have been 90 today. Instead I guess she got a birthday present - her son.
I can't imagine what his kids are going through. Please pray for them in particular - Libby, Danny, Maddy, Johnny, and Annie. Their dad was an incredible man, and things just won't be the same without him.
