Hey everyone. I had a very full past three days. Let's start off with Friday.
So I was a little nervous about school on Friday. I had 2 exams and a paper due. I wasn't nervous about the paper, but I was pretty nervous about the 2 exams.
The first exam I went to the Portuguese exam. I think I did okay on it. I'm guessing I got a B on it. My teacher normally plays portuguese music during the test to calm people down, but she didn't have it this time, so I was probably a little more wound up than you should be for an exam. That stopped when I got about halfway through the exam. Now let me first say that my Kelly Clarkson appreciation is known in this class. Lauren told the teacher. Anyway, there was one section of the test where we had to fill in the appropriate verb into a sentance and conjugate it. One of the words was gostar, which in Portuguese means "to like" I had to fit Gostar into "Ryan ____ muito de Kelly Clarkson" I'm sure you can figure out what the sentance said. Personally, I laughed (out loud) and at first everyone in the class kind of gave me a weird look for lauhing the middle of an exam. But as people got to it they started laughing too (At me or with me I'm not sure. :P ) and they knew what I was laughing at earlier.
The other exam is the one I thought I was going to totally bomb. Prof. Redfearn is a tough dude, even though I still think he's a drunk. So I'm sitting there in history taking one last glance over my notes. Redfearn is sitting in the teacher's desk in front of the class just looking everyone in the class over with a really smug look, or he could have been drunk, I haven't decided yet. So he hands out the exam, (which is in essay only form) and I start to get this rush of adrenaline. So I see the stuff we have to right about, and to my surprise I knew pretty much everything that we had to write about. So here I am in the class, trying to calm myself down and just write the essays. I'm trying to write these essays, but my hand is violently shaking from the adrenaline. I tried calming down, but I just couldn't. I glanced up a few times during the exam, and Redfearn kept giving me weird looks. I don't blame him, I must have looked like a guy that needed a fix during the middle of his exam. So anyway, I finished the exam and met Lauren outside of the class and we started to head home.
The next thing I was supposed to do was head out to lunch with a friend. I'm not going to lie, I've been looking foward to this lunch all week. The plan was that I was going to call her when I was done with my classes, and then we would go to Uno's. So I give her a call when I get home and it turns out she's at the DMV. She had earlier in the week told me she had to go there, but now she was there longer than she expected. I told her it wasn't a problem and that she should just give me a call when she's done there. She never gave me a call back. Not even to tell me that she wouldn't be able to make it, which I wasn't a big fan of. This made me a very sad Panda. Now I don't think she was trying to ditch me on this, but I'm telling this thing in chronological order and I'll get to that later.
So I went outside and mowed the lawn. That's never fun, but it went by pretty fast because I was at the time pissed about not going out to lunch. I had the SOAD rocking. It was good. So I came in, took a shower, and then pakced my stuff up to go over my dad's.
*Quick Note, I REALLY hate the fucking power cord on my laptop*
When I drove over my dad's, I had a new SOAD CD I burned in. I found some more of the songs from them I didn't have a month or so ago, and I finally burned them onto a CD along with some of the songs I already really liked from them. And for the record, anyone who likes SOAD, should definitly check out the few "new ones" on the CD that I really liked. (Those songs being Chic N' Stu, I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Suite-Pee, and Peephole) So I blasted that stuff on the way over. When I got there I said my hello's and all that good stuff. I hadn't seen Alison in a few weeks because of the school schedule, so it was nice to see her. So I got there and just BSed with my dad for a bit and we watched some ESPN. I got some Portuguese and English homework done, and went to bed around 10.
I went to bed 10ish because I for whatever reason told Wolverine I'd come in at 7 on a Saturday for some overtime. I regretted it as soon as I said it. I mean, what teenager agrees to come in when he isn't needed on a Saturday after working 30 hours and taking 5 subjects over the last 5 days? Anyway, I woke up at 6ish, and hit the shower. I came out and my dad made me some breakfast and coffee, which was awesome. I brought my coffee into work and got to work in shipping for 4 hours. It was a little weird being back in there, after they kicked me out, but I really enjoyed myself. The only other person there was Scooter, which I was a little worried about. I didn't wear my steel-toes into the factory, and I figured he'd rat me out. He didn't, which I appreciated. Honestly, I'm not sure that he even noticed. I've also come to the conclusion that I was the only reason Manny allowed Scooter to get transferred. I think he figured "Hey, if I need to take Scooter, I want a good worker out of this too!"
So I got out after 4 hours, and bought my lotto ticket. I drove home blasting some more SOAD (Anyone seeing a pattern?) and had an enjoyable ride home. I went home and did my Sociology studying. I have a quiz in that class tomorrow. Then I played a few hours of Madden. My dad watched a little bit of it, I guess he finds it entertaining. And hey, with what the graphics are for the X-Box, I don't blame him, they're real-life enough to enjoy it. After that I did some Western Civ studying for my buddy Redfearn. After I was done with that I was super excited because I knew Sunday would be the first day since I started school that I would have done nothing involving work or school.
So I finish the Western Civ, and I start to get ready, because Alison's parents were coming over for a few hours. Her dad had a birthday at some point this week, and they were coming over to celbrate it. Her parents are pretty cool, I like them. Honestly, I like pretty much all of Alison's family, which is call. So I took my shower to get ready and all of that stuff. They showed up, and we all just talked for a while. My dad was showing Dave (Alison's dad) this project he's working on for work, and I think he was totally oblivious to how lethargic both Dave and myself were about it. I was polite and didn't say anything, if nothing else because it was stuff that I would eventually have to deal with at work.
The dinner we had was really well done, Alison did a great job with it. It was a pasta in an alfredo-esque sauce with shrimp. I think everyone politely agreed that she used too much red pepper, but that the meal was still really good. Alison put ALOT of work into that dinner, so I was happy for her when it turned out well. So after dinner Dave opened his presents, and we just chatted around the table for a while. They left and then came the suprise.
Now this suprise my dad had been hyping up to me for the last few days. I honestly had no clue what it was. So after Alison's parents left (11ish) they gave it to me. It was a recepie to make Bleu Cheese dressing. I had been looking for a recepie for this for a few months now. I mean, even foodnetwork.com didn't have anything on it! Apparently Alison's mom had the recepie and she was cool with me knowing what it was. So Alison had gone out ahead of time and bought the necessary ingrediants, and we made it at like 11 at night.
The next part of the night was a little weird, because normally at 11ish My dad and Alison go to bed. But they both ended up staying up with me until 2. None of were tired. Normally I'd be up at this time anyway, but I did wake up at 6 for a shift, so it was a little unusual for me. Alison I guess had been drinking alot of coffee throughout the day, so she wasn't tired. And my dad was playing GRAW on the highest difficulty, and I guess he was in a groove or something because he played that for a few hours. Alison just layed on the couch watching him while I browsed the internet.
Now back to the girl I didn't go to the lunch with. During this 3 hour block she sent me a myspace message asking to reschedule the lunch. This is what led me to beleive that she just legitly couldnl't go and wasn't ditching me. Because it would make no sense to ditch, and then ask to reschedule it. So that made me a happy panda.
So I woke up today for good about quarter past 11, and Alison was 11:30ish. For whatever reason, everyone seemed to have the hangover symptons, even though none of us had drank the night before. We all had head-aches, were very lethargic, and we had "the fits" Anyway, my dad had woken up around 7 and just worked on that project for work I was talking about earlier. I had my coffee and prepped in Fantasy Football. Honestly, I don't think I did well this week, and might lose to a guy who forgot to put in a QB who didn't have a Bye this week.
That being said, the Patriots did AWESOME today! I think they finished with 225 rushing yards, and just flat out embarrassed the Bungles, 38-13. It was a fair game until the end of the third, where the Pat's exploded for something like 17 or 21 points over 5 minutes.
So I watched the Pat's game, (Btw, Sox won in a rain-shortened game 9-0 for the final game of the season) and I packed up to go home. I said my good byes and all that good stuff. So I'm driving home, and I see 3 cop cars on the way home, All of them with a little quirky story. The first one blew right by me with it's lights off. Then it pulled inbetween me and the car in front of me and turned it's lights on and pulled the guy in front of me over. I had been driving behind him for 5 or so minutes, and I dind't think he had done anything. Then I drove about a minute or so, (And I know that because B.Y.O.B. from SOAD was still one :P ) and I saw another cop car the opposite way from me. This cop had the guy handcuffed and was putting him into the cop of his car. Then I drove a little further down the road and another cop car was barreling down the road with my side of traffic, lights going off like the fourth of July. Honestly, I didn't see him, and I had the music blasting so I didn't hear him. So when I looked in my rear view and saw him right behind me with his lights on I thought I was fucked. I didn't do anything, but I was still weirded out. He ended up just passing me and sped off before I knew where he went off to.
And that was my weekend. Very full, but more the most part fun.
