It's been almost a year since I've posted here. I feel like I don't even know how to write anymore. I don't blog, even though i have a fancy-schmancy new laptop.

The reason for my last post here was to inform everyone of my job change. Well, a year later here's another one.

On Jan. 25th I was picked to be one of the 1,500 out of 50,000 applicants given a conditional job offer with Delta. Pending training, I will be wearing the navy blue and red as a flight attendant!!! In 4 hours, my alarm will go off and I will finish packing. My parents will be here at about 9:30 to load my stuff and I'm headed to Marietta. From there, I report tuesday morning for my six weeks of training. Six weeks, six days a week, 10-12 hour days. I will graduate mid-april and from there I head to New York for two days to find a place to stay. I'll be based out of three of the NY airports (JFK,LGA, and ALB, I think) and will require a "crashpad" to rest my weary, traveling head when I'm on-call 6 days out of the month. Otherwise, I'll be living in Atlanta and commuting to NY for work.

Tomorrow when i move my stuff it will really hit me. I'm leaving Athens behind. I'm leaving all my friends and all my memories and every level of comfort I have ever known to do something I've always wanted to do, but never thought was possible. It's the craziest thing I've ever done. Hands down. I don't even know if i'm ready for it, because I'm so in denial that it's actually happening. (Even though I'm sitting in an empty room with nothing left but my bed and a few boxes.)

I can't even write about it anymore because I'm freaking myself out.
wish me luck, kids.
