(no subject)
Wow, yesterday was soooo fun!!!
After much drama and late night phone conversations on Friday night (aka Saturday morning) in which I decided Dan makes no coherent thoughts after ten p.m.......I woke up on Saturday morning, Emily picked me up and we went to the Arlington train station. Santa invaded. We got pictures. Fear our mad pictures.
Nik, Dan, Scott, AJ, and Walter (surprise!) showed up about ten seconds before the train left, but we sat on the second level. It was Scott's first train ride!! We played Christmas 20 questions like the really cool people we are, listened to Dan's mp3 player, and made EWOM sandwiches. When we got downtown, we took a trolley to Navy Pier. They had this crazy, Winter Wonderland thing set up, where it's basically a bunch of little kiddy stuff. We had fun though, even if the cell-phone/buddy system failed horribly ("Meet by the tree!! I mean the snowman! I mean the food court!")
We took the trolley back to Marshall Field's, where we saw the windows and went inside. The theme this year for the windows was Snow White, and the prince looked like Clay Aiken. Emily, Nikolia, and I tried on horrendously expensive dresses and took pictures. Dan got a really hot shirt. We went back to the train station, and caught our train home, whereupon most everyone fell asleep on top of each other (...or was that just me..). We got back to the train station, Nikolia had to go to Sarah's party, but all the guys wanted to wait for Emily and I to get picked up.
Me:...you don't have to stay....
Scott: Well we're gentlemen, and we're going to wait.
Nikolia: Well I'm a lady and I need to NOW!
When I got home, my dad was waiting at my house and we drove to Indiana. It was a really nice drive. Usually I would just put my headphones on and listen to music the whole way, but this time we literally talked for the whole three hour car ride. Everything from Expressions to genetic diseases, college to psychology, his teaching to our family.
Anyway, I had a really weird dream about a certain boy last night....I woke up feeling physical pain, it was really weird. Ask me about it if you really wanna know....but I spent this whole morning reading in a comfy chair. It's 3:25 here and I'm still in my pajamas :D
