i just wanted to share benoit paille with you all. he takes the types of photos i really wish i could take. he photographs strangers, on the street or on the train or wherever he happens to be. people, looking how they do, in their natural environment, making eye contact with the camera, almost exclusively straight-faced. i have asked strangers to let me take their picture before but they almost always get shy or smile or get embarrassed or flustered or say they don't look good on camera or fuss about how the final product will represent them. i don't know how benoit paille captures his subjects the way he does but i love it.
