Few things about "Firefly":

1.  The episode "Ariel" was fantastic, and the following "War Stories," looks pretty great so far.  Thank you Jayne for saying "I'll be in my bunk," when Inara comes in with a female client.  This series just got SUDDENLY great.

2.  The theme song STILL sucks though.

I wanted to like it more... I'm not really sure what threw me off the first half of the season. But the second half was GREAT, and I'm sad it's over. Next up is the movie, woohoo!

Malcom Renolds is one of the best characters ever created. You also might be interested to know the I have recently gotten myself hooked on dr who.

Theres soap in the waffles. But yes if it wasn't for the high price of it I would have rushed out and got the dvds. For now though my friend Tony brings over his sisters copy and we watch it. I am however getting my haircut like the current dr in a few weeks.

I'm curious as to why you think the theme song sucks? It's not going to be in my top 5 favorite songs list (thank you, High Fidelity), but it's a piece completely suited to the show, and doesn't horribly suck in any obvious way that I can see.

I do think it's suited to the show... I'm just... eh. It's not the style, I don't have a problem with western sounding guitar, I think maybe it's the prominence of the lyrics. I've never been a big fan of lyric driven theme songs. It's not that the lyrics are BAD necessarily, it's more about their center stage placement.

I'm a picky bastard, what can I say?
