The memory is rattling in his head like a bee. He's never held a memory that was so volatile before; or maybe it's that it's so foreign to him. But he's waiting because he can't bring himself to be lost anymore.
It's just like using a GPS, a map of the City floating on his network device and a little blip for himself and a little blip for Nate. Whatever you could say about Tony Stark, you couldn't fault his engineering skills.
The blips are almost overlapping, so he takes a look around. He's worried. Nate is spacey, but not so spacey he'd ask for help that directly. Something must have happened.
Nate, in truth, hated asking for help, but four hours of this ridiculous wandering had gotten to him, and now he just wants to go home and lay down. He hears a ping on his cell phone, and when he looks at it's lit up, pinging.
He stands and looks around, and finally sees Teddy looking around. "Teddy," he says, just to alert him that he's there. "Sorry, I hope I didn't interrupt anything," he adds, after a second.
The first thing that Teddy registers is that Nate looks tired, but otherwise unhurt. He lets out a little sigh of relief before smiling and tucking his phone away.
"Hey. I just ducked out of work, it's no big deal."
Evidenced by the tux he was still wearing, but sometimes it paid to state the obvious.
Nate scratches the back of his head, a little sheepish. "Yes, please," he replies. His headache can be cured by sleep, he knows it, and he waits for Teddy to walk. "Also, that reminds me I need to get mine cleaned," he says, filing away that he had only dreamed about that particular chore. Just like he dreamed about the fight with Teddy. Or so he thinks, anyway.
"Four hours? You should have said something sooner."
Teddy has to pause for a moment to orient himself, though. People other than Nate get lost too, you know. But once he's reasonably sure of the way he came, he starts off and makes sure Nate stays close.
Teddy has always been one to assume that everyone is always telling him the truth. It seems to work, for the most part.
He gives Nate a concerned look but doesn't really want to pry. He doesn't even know all the details, but whatever happened between them this time was obviously important.
"And it gave me a headache," Nate says. It's not sharp, exactly, but it is a little quiet. "And then I got lost," he continues.
He knows that Teddy only wants to help, and so he tries to change the subject. "We didn't fight, right?" he asks. "I think I had a dream, where we did, but I don't know if it was really a dream. If we did fight, I'm sorry."
Nate looks over, and he feels a little guilt about changing the subject so quickly. "Good," he says, and it takes him a moment of silence before he sighs. "I was trying to fix Blair's relationship with her best friend," he finally admits. "It's harder than it looks. I don't like conflict very much."

So he waits.

"So... what happened?"

He doesn't quite mention that he took her memory of wanting to look good, socially. It was for Serena, he assures himself.

"No, we didn't fight," he replies, equally quiet.
