I remember seeing slides of items found at Sutton Hoo in my art history classes and being amazed. I got to see them in person at the British Museum about 10 years ago, and the detail and skill was wonderful to behold. Keep in mind that I saw this the same afternoon where I was internally squeeing over getting to see the Elgin Marbles. I nearly had a Stendal Syndrome moment.
