back home...
These are pictures from back home (near D.C.) where my mom and dad got hit with about two feet of snow. My dog is hesitant to leave the porch. I'm partly thankful that I'm not there now, and partly nostalgic for the days as a kid when this storm would have been the most spectacular week off of school in my life. I did get snow here on my campus, but only six inches or so. It's mostly melted by now.
...then, of course, back home they were hit with another foot:
Thus the federal government was closed for quite a bit a this past week.
