I just wanted to let you all know, I have been making music lately and posting it here : http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/view.php?id=1101183&sub=44336
Newgrounds has it's drawbacks, but I fucking HATE that AOL-Time Warner Myspace CRAP and I encourage you all to cut yourselves off from the social "network" that is now controlled by a conglomerate that openly cooperates with the Patriot Act. I don't know about you, but I don't want just anybody knowing who I'm friends with, what I'm doing all the time, what my interests are and how they link me to other people, etc. I have heard the arguement before that Myspace is "too big of a network" for them to glean any useful information from it. To counter that, I'd say that anyone who believes it is "too big" does not know very much about "database systems" or the exact extent of how powerful technology has become. I'm glad that some good things have come of it, such as giant public pillowfights, but I still stand against it. There are plenty of open-source projects that are just as good. Let's all follow Google's good example and fight the patriot act. Newgrounds, Livejournal, Blogspot, Google, etc are all great projects that stand against the attempted corporate domination of the web Myspace-Yahoo-Timewarner-whatever else the fuck they own which is a LOT!
