50 book challenge

I noticed the community in the spotlight, and while I joined it to try and get some ideas for new stuff I don't plan on posting there much. It's huge and not very conducive to lots of lets get to know each other, especially since I have limited posting time. However, I thought it was a great idea and have decided to see how far I get. So, I've added a tag (whoa - my first, I think) and will post books read as I do them. I'll likely add a little bit about whether they're any good or if others might like them (based on content).

1. The Fellowship of the Rings - a re-read actually, but still excellent hobbitty goodness.

2. Walt Disney: The Triumph of American Imagination - the BEST biography of Disney that I've ever read. I've read several. The author got access to the Disney archives and has done an excellent job presenting the rise of the company as well as Walt's life. For example, I had no idea that Walt and his wife had a lot of difficulty having children and their second daughter, Sharon, was adopted. The story is well written but it's likely only interesting if you have an interest in Disney or the history of animation. It's also loooong (like 600+ pages).

3. The Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes - again a re-read but it's Neil. Always a good read.
