Life has been crazy

I've not been on LJ much lately and am behind again by about 3 weeks.  Life has been very busy.  The company I've gone into business.  Debbie & I figured out that it really should be 4; each needing their own website and marketing material. Hopefully we will only need one LLC and operating agreement.  Some of my updates here are bits and pieces of things some of you may have seen over on FB, sorry for dupes.

I've been to MA again.  Was there for at least 10 days.  Getting lots done.  Mom and I are having a blast together while working on my business documents, my nephew's nature/photo zazzle store Corey's Creations, my mom's job hunting, our linkedin profiles, our FB profiles and friends lists, the various photo and documentation archiving projects, and just hanging together. Oh and my mom has begun cutting my hair again which I love.  I had a great time at my sister's 40th b-day party and shabbat in her house went quite smoothly.

The Unity Shabbaton was fantastic as always.  It has helped recharge my Jewish batteries.  It is wonderful seeing Jews from across the movements able to get along and gives me hope. I really enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. I cannot say enough good things about the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts and their programs.  If you are in MA get on their mailing list and go on their activities.  If you can go on the unity mission to NYC this year - I'm really going to try to go and it should be a fantastic time.

Unfortunately the week following the visit to MA was one of the worst fatigue weeks I've had in ages and was very hard to take emotionally.  I did manage to get a fair amount done on the computer but the fatigue was overwhelming and had me crying and depressed and feeling like a failure even when I knew it was not true.  Mostly over that now. Thanks to all who were there for me on IM.  Big thanks to my wonderful husband, llennhoff  who is getting better at dealing with this stuff.

For the business it looks like I'm learning new technologies as well as dusting off old skills. For new technologies I'm learning:
  • Microsoft web expressions (FrontPage replacement)
  • Photoshop (ugh isn't this what I have a graphic artist for)... but she is not always available and I am not always willing to wait a few hours/days for her to get to things.
I've been making tons of newbie mistakes.  Forgetting to set zazzle stores to private and having potential clients freak that thier logos are being used publically before they've approved the stores and products.  Big oops.  Typos because I don't always remember to proofread or have someone else proofread material.  Get partway through doing something only to realize I'm going about it wrong and having to throw out all the work I've done.  Not doing a good job yet using the online project tracking software to keep track of what tasks need to be done.  Throwing all receipts into a draw and not entering them into accounting software (I think I need to give this back to my partner once I rebuild my old laptop for her).

Migraine meds have been interesting.  After years of taking just migraine excedrin I asked the doctor for real meds.  The Zomig seems to kill the migraines but is not lasting as long as I'd like so I'm taking up to 10MG daily which my doctor's assistant thought was a lot as I went through 60 2.5MG pills in under 30 days.  The Topiramate has been more interesting.  I tried taking it and on the 3rd & 4th days I woke up & it was like I was full flung blackout drunk - walked into objects, blurred vision, dizzy, blurred speach, disorientation, etc.  So I stopped and waited a couple weeks and then tried it again since I sometimes find my body does not react well to my starting up multiple new medications at the same time.  This time around I had very mild disorientation for a couple days but it seems to be fine so this week I increase the dosage and hopefully I'll be able to cut down on the amount of zomig I'm taking soon.

I'm not sure when I'll be back to regular reading, commenting, and posting. So that is my update.  Tell me what I've missed about your life in comments or by posting links to your posts.  I hope all of you are well and life is good.
