I'm making a quick pot pie. It's chopped cooked chicken breast, various frozen veggies, "healthier" canned cream of mushroom soup, a touch of evaporated milk and a little cheese, in thawed prepared frozen whole wheat pie shells.
So it's supposed to be covered with a pie shell, only mine fell apart in the attempted transfer from pan to top of pie, and I tried to reshape a shell but some of it had touched the pie insides so the dough was gooey and wouldn't stretch thin enough.
So I covered the pie with the thickish, kinda gooey pie shell and filled in the holes and gaps with whole wheat bread crumbs. Then I covered it all with a loose foil tent top and stuck it in the oven.
In hindsight, I should have added a little flour to the gooey shell, I think.
Given what I did, how will my pie turn out?
