I am the proud owner of the first translation into Latinamerican Spanish of Edward III, by William Shakespeare, a whole week before it hits the bookstores. I went to the presentation tonight, it was a very intimate affair, with a couple other researchers, a few actors (who are putting on the play itself) and some friends. It's a verse translation by a researcher and stage director who has worked on other Shakespeare translations in the past. It was prologued by my Shakespeare professor, the main reason I was there today (I might not have dared show up like that otherwise! I'm just one of thousands of students, after all).
Anyway, it was quite exciting. History, and all.
